My husband and I were blessed with two daughters, whom we were able to homeschool. Over the years, I enjoyed working with young people through my church. In 2007, after 41 years of marriage, I became a widow. A year later, I decided to move from Washington State to Kentucky to be with my elderly mom and the rest of my family. I am so grateful that both of my daughters and seven delightful grandchildren are now in Ohio where I can visit them often.
I remember the pain of an unmarried pregnancy in my own family. I was glad that my husband and I were able to be supportive during her pregnancy. I am so grateful that God has called me to be at Mercy Maternity to help pregnant young women move toward hope and wholeness in their lives, both for themselves and for their babies. I hope you will consider Mercy Maternity as your home for the next few months. I look forward to meeting you.
